Who is responsible

The responsible party is Kunta Nia, a sole proprietor, of 46 Nielson Drive, Blairgowrie, 2194, Johannesburg. Our Information Officer is Beene Milambo, reachable at contact@kuntania.com.

What we collect and why

  • Orders: name, email, phone number, delivery address, and order details. We use these to process payment, deliver your order, send order updates, keep tax and accounting records, and handle returns.
  • Contact messages: name, email, optional phone number and your message. We use these to reply to you.
  • Newsletter: your email address and the time you agreed. We use this only to send you marketing emails you have opted in to. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

We only collect what we need. We do not create customer accounts, and we do not store your card details; payments are handled by Yoco.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the shop, and only as needed:

  • Yoco — to process your payment.
  • BobGo (our shipping platform) and couriers — your name, address and phone number, so your order can be booked and delivered. Couriers used are The Courier Guy, and Fastway or RAM where they are quicker or cheaper for your address.
  • Email provider — to send order and service emails. TODO(CLIENT): name the provider.
  • Hosting and database providers — to run the website and store data. TODO(CLIENT): name the providers and where data is stored.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

We use only essential cookies (for example, to keep the admin area secure) and privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies or track you across websites. TODO(CLIENT): confirm the analytics tool used, or remove this line if none.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: TODO(CLIENT): period, typically at least 5 years for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Contact messages: TODO(CLIENT): period.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to object to its processing, and you may withdraw marketing consent at any time. Contact our Information Officer using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
